Discovery & Concepts
Explore user needs, assumptions and accessibility opportunities while product ideas and priorities are taking shape.
Design with users, not assumptions. Our inclusive design consultancy helps teams make accessible product decisions from discovery and prototypes through to live services.
We combine expert evaluation with user-centred design and, where appropriate to scope, research with disabled and neurodivergent participants. This helps identify accessibility, usability, interaction and cognitive barriers before they become embedded in a product.

Explore user needs, assumptions and accessibility opportunities while product ideas and priorities are taking shape.
Review wireframes and prototypes for navigation, content, interaction patterns, cognitive accessibility and comprehension before significant development investment.
Work with UX, design and engineering teams on accessible components, interaction behaviour, assistive technology considerations and acceptance criteria.
Investigate existing barriers, inform improvements and validate proposed or implemented changes as part of continuous product development.
Specialist accessibility and UX evaluation can identify barriers in design, interaction and assistive technology compatibility. Where included in the agreed scope, disabled-user research adds insight into how people interpret and use a product with their own access strategies and technologies.
These approaches complement one another: expert investigation can explain technical and interaction issues, while lived-experience research can challenge assumptions and reveal barriers that may otherwise remain hidden. Research and follow-up validation are scoped to the project, helping teams understand whether changes genuinely support usability and independence.
Inclusive UX considers how people perceive, understand, navigate and interact with digital services. We help teams apply cognitive accessibility, clear language, predictable interactions, useful feedback, error prevention and recovery, flexible input and user control across content, journeys and interface behaviour.
Accessible design systems and components can make these decisions consistent and reduce recurring barriers. Our reviews draw on WCAG 2.2 Level AA, human-centred design principles and relevant EAA requirements, alongside usability and assistive technology considerations; standards inform design decisions but do not replace real-world evaluation.
We collaborate with product, UX, design and engineering teams through reviews, workshops, research and practical input to existing workflows. The work may include prototype accessibility testing, component and content guidance, design recommendations and validation of changes.
Depending on the agreed scope, clients receive prioritised findings, user impact evidence, accessibility acceptance criteria, Jira-ready recommendations, research observations or validation results. These outputs help teams decide what to improve and carry changes into delivery.
